Annual Celebration

At the yearly Annual Celebration dinner, the Clinton Chamber invites its entire membership and interested community parties to join us in reviewing the past year and all our successful programs, events, and initiatives. This happy event is a great networking opportunity for many organizations, and it often includes an unofficial “State of the City” address from our mayor.

In addition to entertainment and community updates, this joyous event is the time when the Clinton Chamber presents a number of awards to recognize special individuals and businesses that have made exceptional contributions to our community over the past year: Outstanding Citizen of the Year, Large Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Chamber Ambassador of the Year, and the Chamber Distinguished Service Award. On a rare occasion, the Chamber has the privilege to present a Lifetime Achievement Award to an individual in our community who has shown continued dedication to the advancement of Clinton and its quality of life for many generations. Our city also honors individuals and businesses during the Chamber’s Annual Celebration with awards given by our local Main Street Clinton association.

For the Chamber awards, nominations are accepted from the public at the end of each year for the Outstanding Citizen Award, the Small Business of the Year, and the Large Business of the Year. A committee carefully considers the merits of each nominee before the year’s selected honorees are revealed at the Annual Celebration.

The nominee for the Outstanding Citizen Award must have been active in community activities, a resident of the Clinton Public School District, and have an excellent reputation and character. The Business of the Year Awards are given to outstanding Chamber members which have shown growth, innovation of product, exemplary customer service, and/or contributions to the community. The Small Business of the Year is given to an establishment with one to 9 full-time equivalent employees, while the Large Business of the Year with one to 10 or more full-time equivalent employees.
