School Resources
The Clinton Police Department has assigned two officers to work within the school system as School Resource Officers. These officers remain in the schools throughout the day, giving them the opportunity to develop positive relationships with the students and faculty. These officers have also been specially trained to teach D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education). D.A.R.E. addresses substance abuse by teaching young people the skills necessary to recognize and resist peer pressures.
