Department of Finance and Administration
The City of Clinton Finance and Administration Department is located in City Hall at 300 Jefferson Street.
The Department of Finance and Administration is responsible for all accounting, purchasing, vendor payments, information systems, debt management, human resources, investments, court services and administration functions of the City.
The City of Clinton has a stable financial position due to its commercial and residential growth and development during the past eight years. Property taxes are the principal source of General Fund revenues and represent approximately 50% of total revenues. Total ad valorem millage for 2008 is 38.74 mills. Sales taxes represent approximately 38% of total General Fund income.
